Title: Wot I got for Christmas! (2020 Edition)
Post by: KiloDeltaCharlie on December 25, 2020, 03:43:39 PM
So I did quite well this year. My main pressie was a Record Player, my first one in maybe 30 years, it comes with a tape deck, USB port and Memory Cards slots.

I also got some DVDs:

Westworld Season 3
The Untouchables
Goodfellas
Once Upon a Time in Hollywood

... and some CDs:

Hawkwinds Quark, Strangeness and Charm (Atom Henge remaster)
Ozzy's Ordinary Man
And a 3 CD Compilation of 70s Rock called 70s Rock Down, a surprising number of the 60 songs I don't already own.

Well I bought myself a few weeks ago the Deluxe Paranoid boxset and Mr. Bungles latest album “The Raging Wrath of the Easter Bunny Demo” on red vinyl which is in the running for the album of the year for mine. Yesterday I got money off my wife and kids and inturn I gave my wife money from the kids and myself

We both think we are impossible to buy for...

Good point, I did buy myself a present which arrived in time for Christmas. And that was a new Amazon Fire Stick... I had no idea quite how slow the old one was, but I knew it was slow, this new one is just so much faster.

Got a soundbar for the den TV, much better bass sounds than what we get from the built-in speaker. Connects via bluetooth, so I don't have to mess with all those pops from a loose fiber connection.

My daughter and her BF came here for lunch and we had a fun time exchanging small gifts and playing a few games together. It was good to be all together as a family, sharing time.

I got a new microwave, some gift cards, and some cash from my mom. I also bought Star Wars Squadrons for the PS4 Pro and Need For Speed Hot Pursuit Remastered for the Xbox One S as Christmas presents to myself.
I also got some Ganja from a friend, quite a bit actually.

Yep, got some great players on it and is a very enjoyable release. Very thrashy, much to the disappointment of die hard Bungle fans(for which I am not) but if you’re a fan of S.O.D. and love Patton’s crazy you’ll love this release.

No kittens as yet... shelters are actually pretty much tapped out, what with everyone getting pets during the pandemic and holiday season. So it's harder to find the little guys. We've got two much older cats, so we want to introduce cats to them that have a chance of bonding with them instead of forming a gang against them, and that means cats around 2-4 months for the best chance of that happening.
