Well this is quite intersting.
It seems that there is a totally unexplained repeating pulse going on off the coast of Africa.
There is a measurable pulse that repeats every 26 seconds like clock work. And it only happens at this one place.

Some long forgotten alien base underneath there somewhere?

https://m.xkcd.com/2344/ has a possible explanation, lol!
But the questions of why it's stronger during storms are most interesting. But then, why only there and why EVERY 26 SECONDS? 26 seconds is way more specific than "once per hour or so" that we normally expect from stuff like this.

It's merely the gentle beating of Cthulhu's heart...

Figured he'd move out of the South Pacific after HP Lovecraft blew the cover on the location of Sunken R'lyeh.
Interestingly enough, have you ever heard the deep ocean Bloop?

Hmmm...might be good old Cthulhu...bigger the creature slower the heart beat. Makes sense. When that pulse starts to happen between every 20 seconds we should probably get worried as that would indicate it might start to get pissed off...or hungry...or both.
