The great & legendary Lee Kerslake has sadly lost his long battle with cancer.
I’m sure he needs no introduction or summary around here so will just say what a brilliant drummer and musician he was and what an amazing career he had. Diary of a Madman will always be not only one of my all time favourite albums but also one of my all time favourite drumming performances by anyone. I’ll never forget dropping the needle on Over The Mountain for the first time.
R.I.P. Mr Kerslake.

I knew he had been ill, but still such sad news.

I heard this earlier today...extremely sad news indeed.
Knew also that this day was coming as he was very ill but still...
A legendary and very underrated drummer.

Playing Circle of Hands today for him.

Lee’s isolated drum track from Over the Mountain. Thunderous opening into a great groove and fills.
