The more I know about ancient cultures, the happier I am I don't visit them in a time machine.

Murphy's Law and Sod's Law are basically the same thing (as in: if something CAN go wrong it WILL go wrong), but one is a vulgar version and other more acceptable. But yes there was a TV series called Murphy's Law, so that is as good a reason to go for it as any.
