Title: Lost a Good Friend
Post by: Vyn on September 10, 2019, 08:40:35 PM
Found out today that last night a good friend of mine passed away. We grew up in the same neighborhood, went to the same school, sometimes dated the same women, would go hunting and fishing...he was like a brother.

Similar to some family, I hadn't spoken to him in quite a few years. We'd send birthday wishes, that kind of thing, but sometimes living your life takes you in different directions. It always made me happy to know he was somewhere doing ok.

I'm shocked at this point more than anything.

Maybe he'll run into Billy. I think they'd get on well.

Fucking hell.

Condolences Vyn. In times like this you can kinda wish you stayed in more semi regular contact. You never know what life is gonna throw up.

Was it sudden or had he been  ill?

Sorry to hear this, Vyn.
By your description, I assume he was about your age.  If so, that is much to early.  :(

So sorry for your loss, Vyn.

I lost a good buddy of mine last year in October, right when he had turned a corner and was getting back on his feet, heart attack.

That's sad to hear Vyn.

I've not had any close friends pass yet, but a member of our local SF group died unnexpectedly earlier this year (65, complications from his diabetes, but still a shock), I found it comforting to attend the funeral.
