Hey guys, Thrash metal album of the year for me and its not even close. Might be my favorite album of 2019! I will come back to post more about this band, but right now I want to celebrate this awesome album!

Melbourne band that's been around nearly 10 years and released a staggering amount of albums in that time. Hard to actually categorise them to any one particular genre as they have so many styles going on from album to album. This latest one is more stoner garage rock with thrash elements. Real oddball of a band.

I definitely agree. Not straight up thrash but its thrash in the way that only King Gizzard could ever do. I also love the song Superbug which sounds like Sleep/Black Sabbath and Mars for the Rich which has a Motorhead vibe.

Now onto another ones of my absolute favorite albums Flying Microtonal Banana. This is one of the best Psychedelic rock albums I have ever heard! This sounds like it should have came out in the 60's. I love the experimentation and originality. I think this is Gizzard at their peak. Also this is their best work of their epic 2017 where they released 5 albums in just a years span!

Also I recently saw them live with the bands Orb and Stonefield and it was an epic concert. Played a lot of songs from Infest the Rats Nest and many more career spanning songs. With 15 albums in only 9 years, they have a lot to choose from. At every show, they switch up the set list so there is always that freshness to their set. I definitely want to see them again! I love that they have two drummers and they were able to stay in tune with each other. That is very impressive and it definitely could have been a disaster if they were not in sync.
