Just thinking of Billy and his avatar of him on what he considered a beautiful day up in Norway - clear sky, a hike up a mountain, not too cold in the air, a communing with nature.
What's your beautiful day?

For me, it's a cool autumn day, after the heat has broken here in Texas. It's a gentle, steady rain, with the pat of the drops hitting the leaves on the ground. I have the door open and the chilly breeze wafts into my office. I have the music of the guqin (Chinese zither) playing and my soul joins with the trees and water and ground. I look back on the year as nature starts to shut down and take a break for winter. It's a time for reflection, for peace, and for looking ahead.
Usually I can count on days like these in late October and all through November. I especially enjoyed when I worked in Fort Worth and could spend my lunch at the Japanese Gardens there, with all the color changes and carp coming up to feed at the surface.
