The Creation - "Making Time"
Pay attention around 1:40 and you'll see what Jimmy Page saw. ;D
For the record, the song was produced by the same guy that did "Can't Explain" for The Who and The Kinks' "You Really Got Me". Hear the similarities?
But, yeah, that bow on the guitar at 1:40... wow...

Well, that's Page playing on the studio version of You Really Got Me (amongst others), back when he was a studio musician, before joining The Yardbirds. Never heard he did anything for The Who, might've done, but being the great guitarist Townsend always was, and his pride, i have a hard time picturing that...

Then again, Page and The Who were good buds, so it's not impossible that they may have jammed together at one time. It's just a matter of finding the footage/acetates/archive recordings.

I think "As Long As I Have You" was the best song Led Zeppelin did but never recorded.
I did read somewhere that they intended to record it when they first got together. Lasted in their set for about a year.

Is there a live recording of it?

Yes, lots on bootleg. Even some good quality recordings :D
It's a cover of an old Northern Soul number by a guy called Garnet Mimms :);):)
