....is open minded to playing with Sabbath again..
http://www.blabbermouth.net/news/bill-ward-on-black-sabbath-i-would-be-very-open-minded-to-any-ideas-about-playing-together-in-the-future/ (http://www.blabbermouth.net/news/bill-ward-on-black-sabbath-i-would-be-very-open-minded-to-any-ideas-about-playing-together-in-the-future/)
It's really funny how Bill is always "open minded" about playing with the band when the band IS NOT TOURING or has any ideas of touring...But when the band is willing and able Bill always finds some bs reason to step down... ;D
Anyways this a mute point as Sabbath is no more.

^^^^^^
Agreed on all points. The only thing I could possibly see happening is a 1 day get together, but that's it.

Indeed...I am thinking there might be a possibility for a one off show on Feb 13th of next year but even that's a very small one.
-
I couldn't see him getting through rehearsals for even just one show.
Would be cool though if they could get together for a live in the studio jam like the Angelic Studios session that was included on The End movie. Something us fans could could have forever!
-
They should all get back together to do a fully-arranged, tuned-down, truly doomy version of "Blow on the Jug" for Red Nose Day. Every true Sabbath fan loves that song, and it would be a great laugh to do it up like that.

Hahaaa!
Almost 10 years later and Bill still manages to bitch and moan about an "unsignable contract"

He needs to come to terms with everything... if he's sidelined with a surgery, the band has undrummable drums...
-
Bill. Come on. You can't be above it if you keep putting yourself down in it.
-
Hahaaa fans still bitching & moaning about Bill bitching & moaning :smug:

Well you as long as Bill keeps moaning we keep moaning about his moaning! ;D
In other words it's a never ending wheel...

Actually if you take the time to read the interview it’s about 3 or 4 page career retrospective interview...So you’d think that’s an obvious and unavoidable subject that was gonna be raised in a career retrospective.
Anyhow, Bill’s answer was "I made it well known to everybody who was important that I wanted something that was fair, and it just didn't happen," explains Ward. "Even if someone had held a gun to my head, I couldn't have signed that contract. It was one of the most regrettable things I've ever gone through in my life and I was particularly sad for the fans over how things ended up. But that hasn't stopped me from loving the guys. SABBATH is where my heart lies."
But in typical and true Blabbermouth style they pulled only a mi-nute portion of the interview from the magazine that actually conducted it and go for the clickbait headline.
-
It's funny how Bill's "career retrospective" always comes down to the unsignable contract!
:problem:
-
Not really, it’s just the retrospective a lot of people like to highlight. I’ll always remember him for being a kind soul and an amazing drummer/percussionist.

Me too Jack.
It's only natural he'd bring it up, I'm sure it still weighs on him, and I'm sure whenever he's interviewed he's probably asked about it.

Thing is Bill still doesn't want to admit he fucked up the whole thing with his lies and bs and lack of practice and cover ups and what not...

That’s a bit harsh, I think, Charger.
-
Yeah I know...
But truth hurts sometimes...and I do feel bad for Bill...for letting himself go like that...

I guess it does Charger, I don’t think he could’ve done the shows back then, not fit enough and he was having health issues.
-
Oh god...Bill's at it again!

^^
Wait, is my memory failing or he had the opportunity to do so almost 10 years ago ? little timing problem apparently ...
-
He had the opportunity indeed.
Wishful thinking, but maybe he thinks that now that they're broken up/not touring etc, there's less expectation on them to perform or to make the record other people want them to make. And, if they could get in a room to jam and create for the sake of creating something (in the way I assume they used to - perhaps without all the drugs), there's likely to be fewer notions of an unsignable contract.
I don't think anything will come of it but I can always live in hope.
-
OK, with Ozzy and Tony having some pretty major health issues of late, this really does seem like he's got a major timing issue, which, I might add, is NOT what you want in a drummer!
-
Bill seems like a genuinely nice guy. But he's been banging this same drum for a long time and it's just pathetic at this point.
-
How much longer will he beat the dead horse?
