It's an interesting mix of songs and the sample song is pretty faithful. I've pre-ordered it anyway
-
Thanks for the information Tyr66, were can I order it?
This looks good, Dave Walker is on it.
-
^^^ I pre-ordered from Amazon UK

Thank you Kilo, I’ll see if Amazon US has it.
-
^^^
It's released Feb 15th, but in the US only the MP3 appears to be available to pre-order at the moment, but the CD may well be added before release. I was able to pre-order the CD at Amazon UK.
-
Sabbath covers just don't do it for me so I'll be passing. She's Gone cover is awful!

Thank you Kilo, I'll wait a little while longer and see if Amazon US, will eventually have it.

Yeah pretty interesting project but I'm not sure this is my cup of tea though... In For The Kill is the one that sounds the most interesting though...that I'd love to hear...always interesting to hear Seventh Star songs sung by an actual singer.
-
I’m definitely getting this, just a matter of when, I like Dave Walker’s version if She’s Gone.

Only if you use the term singer extremely loosely!

Never cared for Glen Hughes or David Coverdale.

That sucks, I thought Amazon shipped pre-orders to have them at the person's door on release date or a couple of days before?

That depends a lot on the order... I've waited for a month occationally for stuff I've preordered...and some I have gotten on the same week as the release...

I call bullshit on that, Amazon is not good as it use to be, it takes forever for packages to arrive now, that's why I try to get my stuff through the record shop and keep small business' going.

^^^ It's not sold through Amazon Prime, and it's availability seems somewhat limited (it currently gives a dispatch of 1-4 weeks!)

It should still arrive on the release date, whoever is backing it up, what’s the sense in doing the preorder if you don’t receive it on the release date, that way just order it through your record shop and they’ll hold it for you, and it’s guaranteed on that date.
Plus you help keep small business’ open.
-
Further to my previous comments... Amazon have advised it is arriving today (Saturday)!

Please share with us how you like it Kilo, the release date here in the U.S. is February 22nd, I have mine on order through my local record shop.
-
Kilo did you get Ninth Star yet?
-
I've listened to it once so far (okay I skipped Changes, I don't think even a new version can polish that turd! :-X ). My initial thoughts are that some of the vocal performances are going to take some getting used to. The songs are mostly fathful to the original, but on first listen I am going to say Trashed is my favourite. That may change with further listens.

Thanks for sharing Kilo, I enjoyed the the Dave Walker She’s Gone, can’t wait to get mine.
-
Kilo how are you liking Ninth Star? Can’t wait to get this.
-
Let me know if there are any real show-stopper chart-topper cuts from the album, I might give it a go if there's something I can't miss on it.

Just a cool shot of that line-up that I never had seen before.

They've re-done the album to include a version of "Changes" with Dave Walker on vox.
