Who are the moderators on here, I don't quite know how to navigate this forum yet.
I would like to change my username to ElvesWearBoots, just as it is written, that was my username at the Black Sabbath Boards.
Can I change my username, is it allowed?
-
If you want to I can change it for you but that's it...can't change it again though.

Yes please do Charger, I won’t ask to change it again.
I want my username to look like this ElvesWearBoots.
When I log in type that username and my current password correct?
-
Note that we can change the display name much more easily. You would keep the same username and password for logging in, but your display name would be different.
-
What Zzzz said.
I can change your display name but your username would still remain the same...
If you want I CAN also change your username but then it would also automatically reset your password to a default which it would send over to you via e-mail. I have not done that before so I do not know if it might cause some other complications as well...
-
I do not know if it might cause some other complications as well...
Other than causing the entire United Nations General Assembly to laugh at us, there should be no other complications.

But that pretty much happens on daily basis anyways so I suppose we can live with it...especially since we truly are making forums great again!

I’m sorry I don’t understand what you or Charger mean by username would stay the same my display would change.

That’s ok then you can leave it be, thank you for trying though.

OK, no problem... I can explain:
Each account has an username and a display name.
By default, the display name is the same as the username.
We use the username to log on to the forums, that's how our initial account is created. All our information is connected to that username.
The display name is one of those pieces of information.
If I change the username, that's a big operation as far as the database is concerned, and results in you changing how you log on to the forums.
If I change the display name, you will keep your original username/password in order to log on to the forums. *But* once you log in with "Annomundi", you could have "ElvesWearBoots" just above your avatar. That's all, just the display name changed, no need to work over the database or anything. As simple as changing your signature or some other bit of information like that.
I recommend you keep "AnnoMundi" as your username for logging on to the forums, but we change your username to "ElvesWearBoots". So that is what I will do, if you give me the go-ahead.

Now hold on there. I didn't see you make a single post in my thread To Stooge Or Not To Stooge. What gives?

That's classified information. I'll tell you once you reach Sigma-Level "sneaky turnip".

Someone gave me an awesomeness, is there a way to see who gave it to you?
I would like to thank the person, moderators or anyone?

There is a reason why the awesomeness is anonymous...no reason for returning the "favour" and starting a circle jer...awesomeness thingy... :)
-
no "thank you" system here ?!? too bad ... >:D

I didn’t know it was anonymous, on other forums I’ve been on the have what you call reputation points that you rep a member if you like their post, and it allows you to see who repped you so you could thank that person.
-

I find it polite to thank a person if they rep you or in this case give you an awesomeness.

On the other hand, if it's done anonymously, then you have to imagine that it could be *anyone* here that caught you in the act of being awesome. Sometimes I tell someone why I'm awesomeing them, sometimes I let it stay quiet.

Sounds good to me Zzzptm, being I’m new here I thought maybe I was missing something.

How do you multiquote?

How do you multiquote?
You quote both messages you want to quote. It adds then both to the reply box.
Sent from my Moto G (5) Plus using Tapatalk

I hit quote and it only quotes the one message, I’m not understanding this.
-
You press quote on every post you want to quote. It is that simple.
So I pressed quote on your first message...then my message then your second message and here we go.

I hit quote, then scroll to the bottom and insert the other messages I want in that post, right?

Well you don't have to really insert anything...just press the "quote" button..it inserts the quoted posts automatically.

It’s not working like that, I have to hit quote, it then opens the message box with the quoted message in it, and the all the other posts under the box with insert quote above them.

All you have to do is hit Quote..
Now I Quote your message:

And it comes up like that...
Then I go and hit "quote" on another one of your posts:
You press quote on every post you want to quote. It is that simple.

And it automatically adds both quotes here. Nothing else is needed.
I honestly can't really explain it any more simple than that! :D

It says insert quote on mine.
-
It says "Insert Quote" in the main reply composition window. If you use the quick reply (at the bottom of the thread page) then clicking "Quote" on a message will cause it to appear in the quick reply window.

Maybe I’m not seeing the quick reply button or what Charger is talking about because I’m using my phone and not my computer?

Ah...you should have said you're using a phone! Yes you might not get the Quick Reply box with the phone.

Sorry, I forgot to mention that Charger, I dropped my damn computer when I was moving it and now the damn thing isn’t working, I have to scrape up some money to fix it, until then I can only use my phone.

Oh man that sucks buddy! I'm assuming it was a laptop? Sadly fall damage can be rather detrimental on a laptop. Unless it has ssd drive I'd say your hard drive is done atleast and most likely CPU as well...It might actually be cheaper to just buy a new one rather than try to fix that...unless you can do it yourself, then maybe, but repair shops can charge several hundred for such jobs...and you can get new laptops for just couple of hundred too...unless it was some expensive one like macbook or something silly like that...

it’s a laptop, you’re probably right, I’ll probably just get a new one if it’s too expensive to fix.

My time is wrong on here, it is an hour behind, I tried changing it, but no success.
How do I change it, perhaps one of the Mods can correct it?
-
I just looked it's showing the correct time I posted, but when I go to look and layout it's still an hour behind, for example my current time is 12:54 pm yet it's showing 11:54 am on my profile look and layout page.
-
Can someone tell me why my time is showing an hour behind when I go to my profile?
-
Well you can set the time yourself. I think you are seeing the forum basic time which I think is central US time.

Your local time is set to Eastern US time. You're good there. Server time is Central US, so do you want your time set to Central US or do you want to keep Eastern?
