I've had long hair since i was 10. Almost 25 years now. The shortest during that time was right above the ears for my confirmation, and that's pretty damn short in my eyes. A general rule have been never shorter than the earlobes. The way i've cut it the last 20 years is just put it in a ponytail and cut that off.
But it's getting too thin in front. Starting to look like Tony Martin... :P ;D
So i'm thinking about going to a hairdresser and get a real hairdo now. Short and "grown-up". Have no idea what and how, though, as i haven't really had any, so i'm ever so slightly perplexed. Hope the dresser got some good ideas.
I don't wanna look like a straight square either... :-[
Soo, how's you hair, then?

I had a pony tail for a couple of years in the mid-90s, as far down as the shoulder blades or so. Had it cut off for a job interview, never grew it back.
These days it's left short, I have a half inch (1.25cm) clipper when I get it done, but to be honest at my age I'm just glad I've still got some it's starting to thin out... and it's almost entirely grey.

Always short hair. My hairdresser sees me every 2 months. Proud to have all my almost black hair with no hole

with no hole
Hole In The Sky :P
and it's almost entirely grey.
Grey hair is cool, though. It's proof of experience and alot of deep thinking 8)

I switch between long and short, usually with a beard.
When I do cut it - I go military style and shave it down to a one on the razor.

Yikes! Have not had that done since I was 5.
I still have pretty much all my hair and have stuck with a short cut after the age of 45. Might let an extra month or 2 go by without seeing the barber in the wintertime for the warmth. I am a bit jealous when I see the young guys with long thick hair like I have had at times when I was less than 40. Longest was just below the shoulders.
@Billy: check out images on the net before your hairdresser visit for ideas.

<----- It's pretty obvious with my picture right there, but when I was young my Mom wouldn't let me grow it. When I got married my wife wouldn't let me grow it. When I got divorced in 2003 I let my freak flag fly. Starting to recede a little and a few grays here and there but I'm cool with it.

From a yogic perspective, hair is an amazing gift of nature that can actually help raise the Kundalini energy (creative life force), which increases vitality, intuition, and tranquility.

I just had it cut down to 0 a few days ago before I started a round of travel. That's right, I went for the full Kojak, but I kept my goatee.

Pretty much how my hair is all the time. It was thinning way too much so I pretty much keep it off. Hair Gods were not kind to me. None on my head but hair everywhere else. :wall:

Well, the deed is done... Man, it's short... :twitch:

Interesting read. Wish I had seen that years ago when my mom was always bugging me to get my hair cut.

I guess one could say I've got normal length hair.
I did want to grow it when I was younger but never did..
I go to the barber every 4-5 months or so...I think my last visit was in early May or so...should be about time again I think as it is getting to my eyes when working out...that's usually a good indicator when to get a cut.

I did once have hair all the way down 3/4ths of my back. Having it that long is NOT easy to maintain, I'll tell you that much. Probably one reason I like it real close now.
But the first time I had my head shaved, it felt so clean and cool... I loved that sensation. I can't really go back to long, now.
