Title: POSTING JPEGS FOR DUMMIES
Post by: BOGBLAST on July 13, 2018, 10:35:46 PM
Yup that's me. I know I spoke of this before but the topic speaks for itself.

I see all these cool album covers and such But I can't find any of them. Flickr, tumblr, google search, what's the deal. Where do you guys find this shit? Copy and paste don't work. Do they have to be downloaded somehow? I know about the pic button lower left but doesn't help. What do I do? I think I'm ready to:

Mate just google the album or whatever it is and click on images. Copy the URL and hit the pic button on here and paste it then hit post. That's the way I do it anyway...

I do it similar to Jack.
Google --> Images --> type album or movie name --> click the image you like (be aware the size of the image.  I choose the smallest, usually on wikapedia.)  Then, in the sub-window, right click the image and choose copy.  Back in The Community use the "insert image" button.

I will also use BBCode tags.

Those are where you use square brackets [ ] and then type stuff like img and /img to to around the image URL.

I do that because I do most of my composition in the quick reply window, where the code needs to be typed out by hand. If I hit the preview button, I can see if I did it right.
