Just general covers, ya kno?
I posted this one several times at another place, but it's just so f'n cool i'll have to post it again. Also; it's a dub, not a cover, but a cover thread seemed like a more reasonable thread to start for later posts...

The mistakes only confirm the spur-of-the-moment attitude, me think

Here's a new one from TYRANT
Pretty cool version...they made it quite different...
And YES that is ROBERT LOWE on the vocals!
-
Sorcerer !
-
Pretty cool version of NEON KNIGHTS this one:
Vinny Appice, Rudy Sarzo, Michael Batio and Melodia Cristea!
-
^ Great cover, but it drives me nuts when the video editors don't line up the drum beats in every cut - sometimes Vinny is in focus and it's all right, but then another frame and I hear beats that the sticks aren't making! :D
-
Yeah it really sucks when video and sound are out of sync but that happens a lot in music videos these days...especially ones that imitate live preformances...it's just something you gotta live with if you can... ;D

I just close my eyes or scroll down to read the comments. :D

What a wonderful cover of THE SHINING by Ronnie Romero featuring the brilliant Chris Caffery on guitar!
-
I really enjoy Romero's voice, and it's best when he's got a band that's actually *into* the song. COUGH >blackmore!< COUGH
-
Yeah Romero's got good pipes and a strong voice. I think his talent was bit wasted with Fake-Rainbow....
-
Candlemass has just released a version of SABBATH BLOODY SABBATH!
Johan sounds great on this one! Much better than on the original track Black Star....This version is pretty good...but I'm not sold on the slowing down of the fast part...
-
Thanks for posting that - I've listened to it once, it's OK, going to hit it up tomorrow a few times because it feels like a performance that has to grow on me to make a judgement.
-
Yeah, the ending kinda lost me, but the start and middle were quite solid, I thought.
-
Judas Priest did a cover of WAR PIGS a while back...I just now got around listening to it...
Scott's drumming is ACE here, but other than that the song is bit too sterile for my liking...and Richie's guitar tone is still bland has hell.
-
Rob's beard dominates the entire song.
-
Rob Halford is open about his being the Gandalf of Heavy Metal.
