R. Lee Ermey best known for his role as Gunnery Sgt. Hartman and for some of the best one-liners ever committed to film in Stanley Kubrick's Full Metal Jacket has passed away.

Oh very sad news indeed...he was a great actor!

Which one would that be? My fave is " I AM in a world of shit", but that's not his. But very fitting today, for several reasons it seems.
Great role in a great movie anyway. R.I.P.

Man he was amazing in Full Metal Jacket. He also did an episode of Law and Order: SVU. He played a real creepy sicko bastard very convincingly. Huge loss. RIP
