I was always an original band guy, but there's some awesome stuff from every era of this mad man's 50 year ( going strong!) career. From his crackhead period, check out "I'd better be good".

An often forgotten gem from the first album, never matched by it's reworked version later...

I'd love to post my alltime fave The Ballad Of Dwight Fry, but youtube only offers live versions that can't match the insanity of the studio recording...
-
Love Alice Cooper, both original band and his solo stuff.
My favourite album has to be Brutal Planet, heavy as hell yet classic Alice Cooper.
Second favourite ofcourse is Killer which features one of the best songs ever made HALO OF FLIES!
Alice has had a great career so far and no signs of stopping yet thank god! His latest album Paranormal actually was my #1 album of 2017! Fantastic piece of work!

^^^ Yeah, it's great, but can't match the studio version.

Is this it Billy? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FfqrZvKI_1g

Might be. "Not available in your country", fuckin' racist youtube... :P
But the studio/album version is the studio/album version, isn't it? :)
It's just something with that crazy keyboard mid part with Vince conveying true madness; "I gotta get out of here!!!", and his sleazy voice throughout the tune.
Read somewhere that Bob Ezrin had him laying on the floor and built a "cage" of metal chairs around him to give him that claustrophobic feeling needed for that mid part.
See my lonely mind explode when i've gone insane

Bob Ezrin stated in the Prime Cuts video/DVD that the technique of having Alice lay on the studio floor and having folding metal chairs over top of him was used when he recorded the vocals for the song.

Nevertheless it sure helped giving the tune that extra edge... :)

I LOVE Alice Cooper. Also Better Be Good is from his most underrated studio album Zipper Catches Skin. That album is hilarious the whole way through.

So we had our Firefight relief concert in Sydney yesterday and seeing Alice was out here touring he was happy to donate his time and jam a few songs with his band to 75,000 concert goers and millions watching live on mainstream TV here in Oz. And as expected Alice and band killed it.
A lot of people who aren’t up with Alice Cooper were raving about his entertaining performance and in particular his gorgeous and talented guitar player Nita Strauss
