If Jack is back, then I'm ready to get back in to footy discussions. Swannies looking unstoppable, Lions not having a finals hangover, Cats hanging in there as a perennial contender, and Carlton have a new strategy: slump in the *first* half and then play better in the *second*. They still lose that way...
And Essendon... yeeeesh...

Good to see you’re still following the Cats Z. What a win over the Lions last night after dispatching Collingwood last week. They’re in a rich vain of form right now. Bring on the Swans next week

Indeed! The Cats were amazing at the Gabba, I thought it would be a close match in Brisbane's favor, but noooooooo! The Cats smashed it up there!
With the Swans looking poorly against the Pies yesterday, they are certainly gettable, especially at the Cattery. Swans are a strong team this year, but one musn't count out Geelong.
Overall, the season's got more liveliness than last year, when the top nine solidified and could guarantee a win over any of the bottom nine. This season, it's just the bottom four that are hopeless. Eagles started off with some surprising wins, but they fell back into their Wet Toast ways and are in the hunt for the spoon. Richmond tries but just can't win games and Essendon and Carlton are playing like they've checked out.

Geelong just beat the Sydney Swans by a comfortable margin. They look like they could do a serious run for the Grand Final championship this year. They're consistent now after a bumpy April and their resume of quality wins is strong. Even if you know nothing about a sport, hearing that a team in it is consistently winning with good margins and has quality wins, you know that team is a strong contender for some kind of playoff run.
