Had a 4.3 earthquake about a hour and a half ago
Could really feel it but no damage that I know of

Is Vancouver seismicly active area? You are rather close to the edge?
That's not a very big one I think...something you can feel but not enough to break anything.
-
Well I am on Vancouver Island but Vancouver is very close. We sit right about center on two fault lines and they predict that some day we'll get a massive quake
I have been on the island for about 25 years and honestly I can only remember about a half dozen quakes since then. This was the one I will remember since I could really feel it.
-
I kind of had a feeling that it's not among the more active areas...mainly because I haven't heard too much about quakes at that area...
Yeah I remembered you were on the Island...sorry to lump you in with the mainland city...that was a mistake on my part. :)

Is that the Cascadian fault? Or are you too far north for that.
They say when the big Cascadian goes off we're looking at a 9+.
-
That would be the Cascadian Subduction Zone indeed. The northern edge of it.
I think the big ones would happen to the south of the fault line, but it would have effects to the north for sure as well.

I'm not a geologist, but I subscribe to a few on YouTube... :smug:
Just click through to see it on the YT. It's about 10 mins of summary.

Now THAT would be some seriously bad news.
