So, the lead singer for the band Great white died a week or so ago. First I heard about it was today.
I...never really liked Great White. I remember hearing some of their music when it was coming out, and actually bought a cassette of "Hooked". The best part of that recording was the cover. I can't put my finger on any one thing that turned me off of them, but I didn't like their early stuff or their later output. I don't think they were "bad", so much as they were a sketchy version of several much better bands.
In any event, I do think Jack Russell could sing. RIP.

Yeah, I found Great White to be mediocre, but he was able to pay the bills with his music, so that's something.

Whenever I hear the name of the band Great White, all I am able to think of is the terrible tragedy at a local nightclub, that left 100 people dead. I was not at the club that night, but I have been their a number of times to see other bands there, back in the day. :( The club is a 30 minute drive from my home.
