Title: Paper on the Origins of the term "Heavy Metal"

This is a fun little rabbit-hole read about someone actually checking sources and not just relying on hot air comments other people have been relating for decades.

Really enjoying it and most people using the term for music were thinking either of the periodic table or machinery... or using "heavy" and "metal" as two separate adjectives in writing deriding album reviews. The article is a nice diversion and may help you win a bar bet or two at some point in the future.

Yeah, it's like someone that didn't like it coined a term and then all the guys that liked the music the guy didn't like latched on to the term to explain what it was they liked. But it took time to get it associated fully with the music we call heavy metal.
