INGREDIENTS:
Live Evil 2023 Remixes
Made in Japan Deluxe Edition
If you don't have the Made in Japan Deluxe Edition, you can do like I did and purchase separately the tracks played for the encore, Black Night, Speed King, and Lucille. Do a little shopping on Amazon, as one set won't let anyone purchase Speed King and another digital release will allow it, it's inconsistent, but is what it is.
Once you have the ingredients in place, it's time to assemble the playlist. In putting the list together, I've gone for a straight-through, track by track approach. I did a bit of tweaking because of the larger number of Black Sabbath tunes, but it's uncanny how evenly things work out on just the first pass:
1. E5150
2. Neon Knights
3. Highway Star
4. Children of the Sea
5. Child in Time
6. Voodoo
7. N.I.B.
8. Smoke on the Water
9. Black Sabbath
10. The Mule (with drum solo)
11. War Pigs (with drum solo)
12. Strange Kind of Woman
13. Iron Man
14. Lazy
15. The Mob Rules (short tune that gets sandwiched between longer DP tracks, could use a little help here)
16. Space Truckin' (really long closer, but hey guess what)
17. Heaven and Hell
18. Sign of the Southern Cross / Heaven and Hell (whaddya know, another really long closer)
19. Black Night
20. Paranoid
21. Speed King
22. Children of the Grave
23. Lucille
24. Fluff

My thoughts after the first run-through:
1. I'd like to build it out in Audacity as a single file. That way, I can control crowd noise breaks and announcements of what's up next for a smoother experience. Blending / overlaying crowd noise on live albums is a proud tradition going back generations, might as well do some of it myself. :D
2. The two sets are roughly the same length, with the Sabbath one being a bit shorter. I'm contemplating adding "Die Young" either before or after "Mob Rules" to give it some balance. I'd probably go with the version from Black and Blue over the Heaven and Hell live one.
3. Back to back drum solos is a bit hard to take. Rather than edit one out, I'd consider changing the play order, possibly having The Mule trade places with Smoke on the Water.
4. Speaking of Smoke on the Water, I'm now really tempted to put in Born Again live material, looking at the encore as a place to get the Iommi-flavored version of SotW into the mix for a bit of fun.
