Title: Batman
Post by: Billy Underdog on February 16, 2018, 03:31:09 AM
The last Superhero movie i saw was Suicide Squad.
Worth it because of Margot Robbies ass, to which some of the scenes clearly was written for.  :whistling:
But i absolutely HATED Jared Leto as The Joker...   :naughty:
Great actor, great character, did not match... Hard to follow Heath Ledger and Jack Nicholson, i guess.

I didn't like Suicide Squad...it suffered from the original sin of post 00's DC movies...very little to no humor. Even the classic Batman movies (with the one and only true Batman, Michael Keaton) had more subtle humor in them.

Agreed about Leto...horrible choice for Joker. Robbie might have a good ass but acting skills...not so much.   :whistling:

We agree on that one. As much as i love Ledgers interpretation of the Joker, i didn't care much for the triology itself. The first one; Batman meets Karate Kid, wtf?!?  :twitch:
Naw, it's the Tim Burton movies that's the true Batman. I've never had any relationship with the comic books, so i know that's part of the reason.
But Nicholson, Danny Devito and Michelle Pfeiffer in their respective roles...
Tommy Lee Jones and Tim Carrey did a good job in the third too, but the film suffered from Schumachers involvement.
There was a fourth one, you say? I don't believe you...  :naughty:

The decline and fall of Batman in the movies is what started to put me off comic book films... him and the goofed-up Superman movies...

Mystery Men is a bright exception, I love the hell out of that movie, it's got such great heart.
