Just in case it has passed some of you by, the erupting volcano in the Canary Islands is the one which "might" at some point in the future cause a massive landslip which could cause a Mega-Tsunami which would devastate North Atlantic coastal regions!

And Campi Flegrei would smoke them both as if that would errupt it would be an end of civilization scale event.

Destruction from that would be atleast the same as from the asteroid that killed the Dinos.

And that volcano actually has shown some signs of waking up. Minor yet, but it might go off in the next 10 years or in the next 100000 years. Gotta love the time scales on these things.

It's just an empty bag, so when I get the news of a world-ending volcano eruption and feel like I'm going to shit myself, I can use that bag instead and at least go out with a small amount of dignity.

I struggle to see how there is any scope for dignity in that scenario!

If one sets guidelines and standards and one is also the final evaluator of said standards, one can find dignity in the last few seconds available for rationalization.
