I'm off work until the end of the month (but will start planning in a few weeks), so I've been cleaning and reorganising the house. Also been rainproofing my cats' outdoor space. We've copped a lot of rain recently and it's been hell on them, but I unfortunately can't keep them inside.

I’m a bit of a sucker for Funko Pops(just the music and particular movie ones) so picked up the Black Sabbath one today. Also got the latest in the Black Sabbath etched glass series in a couple of months back to go with the others I previously posted somewhere on here. Hoping they do SBS and Sabotage related ones next.

Got called back to work on Monday, so that's been my thing for this week. A meeting and some stuff to plan tomorrow and I'm home free. Well.. working from home free. I'll see myself out.

You have a house for them outside? I never heard of a cat house.

Tabbies. Strays that made their home on our porch, couldn't bear to leave them on the street so we adopted them one by one. Yep, they live outside in an enclosed space. They're safe and have plenty of room to run around. Never expected to own cats again, but I love those guys.

Took the day off to watch the NFL Conference Championship playoff games today. The fact it’s going to be 40c here today and I work outdoors it made the decision an easy one.

Getting a new breaker box installed today, so I'll have no electricity for 4-6 hours.

Fortunately, the weather is perfect for no AC today and I've already blocked out the day for doing documentation on my calendar. I may have no Internet, but I can still work on documentation in the spring air.

EDIT: there were issues and they had to reschedule for Monday the 17th. The breaker box would have to go in at a new location to be up to code, along with a few other complications. No worries, though, just a rescheduling of service.

Going to the dentist today. Plan do get some groceries right after that.

As if we haven’t been through enough here in Victoria we just had a magnitude 6.0 earthquake. Been damage to buildings but no reports of any deaths. Was quite freaky at the time. My house shook pretty hard for about 20 seconds and my dog was freaking out. Earthquakes are rare occurrences here let alone a magnitude 6.0. Lucky the epicentre was about 180kms north east of Melbourne in a county town at the foothills of the Victorian Alps otherwise the outcome would’ve  been much worse.

We’ve also had some ugly protests going on in our city from unionist in the construction sector the last 2 days.

Melbourne was for years in a row voted the worlds most liveable city. Couldn’t be further away from that right now. We are now officially the worlds most lockdowned city with no end in sight.

Wow... I didn't even know you got earthquakes there! I thought it was rather steady ground there.

I just saw that earthquake news. Not the kind of excitement one wants to alleviate the boredom of lockdown...

Over here in Texas, it's cool enough for the doors to be open and I can hear the roofers working next door.
