I'm not gonna post multiple quotes for the sake of space, but I am/was SweetSymptom at the other place.
Was listening to a lot of Fight at the time, and on the 'War of Words' tour, abridged covers of 'Sweet Leaf' and 'Symptom of the Universe' formed a regular part of their setlist. I tended to just choose usernames at random, so that's where it came from. It helped that it was Sabbath related.  :)

That's not a problem either Scott. Both work just fine. It's not like I'm Batman trying to hide my true identity... shit, I am Batman.

At least that's pre-Minstrel Blackmore  ;D

And if Zzzptm is Blackmore, I'm Rod Evans.

That Fight connection is very cool. I saw them on that tour. What a great gig it was...

Priest had never toured Australia up to that point so was a massive highlight for me to finally see Rob live and hear him sing Priest songs.
Don't recall him performing those Sabbath songs though. Hard to remember the gig in great detail but I do remember that Rob sounded incredible and that my mate & I hung around drinking way after the band had played and the two guitar players Brian Tilse and Russ Parish(aka Satchel from Steel Panther) ended up they came out and joined us drinking JD's and Sambuca shots. I also remember them making fun of Rob that he was too old too party and he preferred to go straight back to his hotel after shows. I still have a Fight pick that one of them gave me.

Awesome story. Thanks for sharing.

By the 1994 legs of the tour, they'd dropped the Sabbath tracks and started playing a couple more Priest tracks instead. I had a bootleg from the Australian tour, I forgot which show it was though. No idea where the cassette is, actually.

The first time Priest toured here would have been for Demolition, right?

Yep that's right, I went to that gig also....Was a great show as well. They played the same venue Fight played seven years earlier - The Palace in StKilda, which is sadly no longer there.

I dug out that Fight pick
