^^ Two stellar albums there Tyr and Thel.

To both of you, Tyr - which Dickinson solo album do you like better out of Accident Of Birth, The Chemical Wedding and Tyranny of Souls?

And Thel - which Overkill album do you like best out of Ironbound, The Electric Age and White Devil Armory?

 

very hard to say. The first two benefit from the presence of Adrian Smith, it is undeniable. But, I really like Tyranny of Souls. Same surprise as Thel about the very first time I heard Accident of Birth . Speechless !

Accident Of Birth: 9.53 / 10
Chemical Wedding: 9.52 / 10
Tyranny of Souls: 9.51 / 10

3 gems really. I would like to thank our other site partner and mate Franklin who opened my eyes and ears some years ago about the Bruce solo brilliant stuff .

Not bad at all , but it's clearly a postmortem production based on non-finished demos.
The previous solo album of Warrel, Praises to the War Machine, was more personal than this one . This is a good return in the Nevermore world minus Jeff Loomis .

Agree about Adrian. The common denominator in all three though and Balls To Picasso is that Roy Z also plays guitar as well as produced, mixed and engineered on all three.

The guitar solo in Tears of the Dragon is straight up magnificent!

the guitar solo was elected the best of all time . I agree , including all the alternate versions . David Gilmour touches the divine dimension. A rare moment.

You are right Billy, this album is good, still my least favorite Metallica album but much better than I remember.

Nice to hear. An underappreciated classic that'll hopefully get it's due one time.
Still pretty satisfied it ended up right behind their "5 classics" in the H&H game. Where it belongs
