So glad that the temps didn't hit 100! They topped out at 92F, which I think is 33C

Looks like we might finally be getting some signs of warming...eventhough night temps still linger around freezing which is ridiculous for this time of the year.

There's a good chance this will kill any chance of me getting apples, plums or berries from my garden as they are now starting to bloom and any frost destroys the flowers.

Forecast for Texas is smoke from the Mexican fires used to clear land before planting season starts in June. It's blowing up here from the prevailing winds and the haze is bad enough for respiratory health warnings for folks doing outdoor activities.

It's finally starting to warm up a bit... We're getting some +15C (60F) temps already...but still the nights are very cold...dropping below 5C (40F)...

What an unusual and strange spring it has been... Could you PLEASE bring some of that stupid global warming this way too goddamnit instead of pushing us towards a new ice age!!

It's finally starting to warm up a bit... We're getting some +15C (60F) temps already...but still the nights are very cold...dropping below 5C (40F)...

What an unusual and strange spring it has been... Could you PLEASE bring some of that stupid global warming this way too goddamnit instead of pushing us towards a new ice age!!

It's just a few C warmer, enough to melt all the ice, which weakens the Gulf Stream, which in turn allows more of the Arctic air to spill down on Europe, only to then have temperatures spike upward before the next cold crash.

Meanwhile, in Texas, we got buckets of rain last night. Flood warnings are out for the low-lying areas.

Well now it stagnated into around 15C...nights still below 5C...

What the actual fuck is going on here? Normally it's 20+C easily.... And what a surprise nothing in the media about this...but when it's 5C warmer than normal every single media outlet is raving about the global warming and the end of the world! Ridiculous!

That's because local media have no idea about what global climate change is, themselves. The story they think is sensational is what they go with. "Cold in Finland"? How is that news? "Hot in Finland"? THAT is news!

The most even-handed discussion of climate from weather folks tends to be among the tropical storm forecasters, as they will show their charts of ocean temperature measurements as those will determine the tropical season ahead.

Monday evening, our high-priced weatherman stated we were going to get storms off and on all day Tuesday (June 3rd). He said it was going to be lightweight because the atmosphere, "didn't' have enough energy in it," to produc4e bad storms.

The tally Wednesday morning (June 4th) was 27 tornadoes Tuesday, several areas of flash-flooding, ten neighborhoods with high-wind damage (trees falling into houses, fences blown down, etc.).

I'll be happy when the weather folks can get basic forecasting correct, much less climate change assignation.

My guys down here were calling for storms all the way up into the Midwest that would produce hail, high winds, floods, and tornadoes.

Then again, Texas forecasting itself has always been more of an art than a science during non-summer months.
