This is the one I have been using for years:

:-)

Not always funny, but ecological, and it helps me not to lose sight of the rather poor and marginalised people living in my city.

We've got poor to no mass transit where I live. I love visiting cities with well-integrated mass transit, like Vienna. If I lived there, I'd be fine with walking and riding.

But I live in Texas, and we have large, sprawling cities so I must drive to survive. But it's fun to imagine the roar of a precision engine as I roll along in traffic.

Yeah, I fully understand. Where I come from there is no mass transit at all. Everyone who could afford it had a car. In Berlin, where I am living now, it's much easier.

Pretty looking Corvette there buddy!

Always liked the design of that model.

Thanks! Chevrolet completely revamped the look of the Corvette line for 1997, which I did not like as much.  So, I grabbed this one near the end of '96.

I find it interesting how Peugeot is re-branding itself now becoming the sporty make of PSA...

But I believe it is kind of forced since PSA purchased Opel... If Peugeot would have continued in it's old path it would have been in direct competition with Opel...

Even more surprising is though the fact that Citroen is becoming the cheap peoples car now...as that used to be PSA's something of a "luxury" make....so the times change.

Oh and Bog:
A 62 Vette? Really? Wow! If that is in original condition (or atleast with very few modifications) that's like having money in the bank...they are already going for serious money and their prices surely aren't coming down anymore. Such a beautiful car too!

Mod Edit:
I combined these threads as we already had a Cars topic ;)

Unfortunately Charge it is not all original as it has a different engine and transmission. My bro totally redid the interior with official Corvette parts, did all the bodywork and re-chromed everything. But it is still a beautiful car and it's got some balls.

Ah...I think these Vette's are classic enough to maintain a good ammount of value even if it's not numbers matching...

Sounds like your brother is quite the car guy...love that!

May I ask what engine it's got? Something bit more modern?

He' got a 327 in it. Not sure if that was stock or if it was the 283. But it's a four speed manual and he changed the rear end gears to give it a little more pop. I don't know if you know about them but he's got the original "Wonder Bar" radio in it.

My brother might be retiring soon so his next project has been waiting in the wings, a 1962 Nash Metropolitan!

I had a 2006 BMW M3 up until last year - now have a 2018 Audi SQ5.

I miss rowing my own gears and hearing the howl of that engine - but that Audi is like being in a space ship. Would love to have a Challenger Hellcat just as a toy, but I'm not in the "car collecting" financial bracket lol.

That's a good looking 'Vette Typhon. One of my favorite body styles.

@Bog - you don't see many Nash's rolling around anymore  :metal1:

Nash's have gained some real value too in the past few years...So another solid investment too I'd say. Plus they are funny looking little cars too!

How much horsepower does that 327 make?

And Vyn:
You went and changed an M3 to an Audi suv?????

When my dad died in 1999, I used his 1993 Lincoln Town Car for many years.  Best luxury ride in any vehicle I know of.  It is a shame that Lincoln no longer makes the Town Car model.

Talked to my brother and he said 1962 was the first year the 327 was available and it puts out 275-300 HP. I had him send me a pic but I can't paste a Jpeg from my pictures folder for some reason.
