The Great Global Warming Swindle (2007)

A documentary exposing the man-made climate change hoax.  Throughout the film, many climate scientists present their facts and evidence which went against the narrative that man's activities were warming the planet.  Attempts made to silence and smear these exerts is covered, as well.  The film also reveals the huge profits that were made, and who made them, from pushing this hoax.  It just goes to show that some people will say anything to make a buck.  9/10

Transpecos (2016)

When 3 US Border Patrol agents, working at a somewhat deserted border crossing, encounter a car with questionable contents, an insidious plot is revealed within their own ranks.  Their mundane job suddenly turns deadly.

This is one of those type of films that you never hear about, but is worth a watch.  7/10

Beyond the Law (1993)

The true story of Dan Saxon, an undercover cop who infiltrates a biker gang to nail the scum behind a drug-smuggling operation. In order to maintain the trust of the gang's leader, he must commit ever more dangerous and heinous crimes.

Charlie Sheen does a good job playing Saxon.  I also liked Michael Madsen as the leader of the biker gang.  Although the film is a bit cliche-like, I still enjoyed it.  7/10

Cocaine Godmother (2017)

The story of Griselda Blanco, who at age 17 made her way to the U.S. with a fake passport with her first husband Carlos. Living in Queens with her three sons, Griselda became enticed by the money the drug world offered, and quickly became embroiled with local drug runners. Griselda masterminded the use of beautiful women, the elderly and children as drug mules and created false-bottom suitcases to smuggle cocaine from Colombia.  Of course in this dangerous line of work, things get ugly, and so does Griseldo.

Catherine Zeta-Jones does a fine job as the lead character.  7/10

I've been gradually, but steadily, upgrading components to my stereo system. I've been using a Technics SU-R1000 integrated amplifier for a long time and have a Parasound JC5 stereo amplifier sitting around waiting to replace that Technics unit.
That Parasound is an impressive amplifier, Vyn.

It's a rich story so far and from reviews of the 18 episodes I ain't yet seen, it remains so consistently.

Saw the first Season, great show!   :)

Currently watching the final Season of Nip/Tuck.

Didn't see the halftime show.  I don't speak spanish, anyway.

As for the game, it played out exactly as I thought it would.  New England hadn't faced a complete team all season, so the shock of finally playing one was obvious.  Patriots would have lost in Denver if the QB had played.  Bottom line - the real Super Bowl was played 2 weeks ago, when the Rams played in Seattle.

18oF (-8oC) for the daytime high today, plus another 3 inches of snow last night.  :squint:  Have never seen such a stretch of frigid weather like this in my life.  Forecast shows slightly above the freezing point on Wednesday.

This guy has the world record for number of pinball machines owned.  He has everything from the very first games to modern day.  After watching this, all I can say is it was jaw-dropping, literally.

Same here, 13oF (-10C) right now.  Weekend forecast is even colder.

These temperatures are approximately 20o below normal averages for my area.   :squint:

Cut Bank (2014)

A young man (Liam Hemsworth), who lives in the tiny town of Cut Bank, Montana, films the death of a postal worker (Bruce Dern) getting shot to death.  He turns the recording over to the local sheriff (John Malkovich), but upon investigation, the sheriff can't find a body.  Also appearing in the film are Oliver Platt and Billy Bob Thornton.

Good drama with a number of interesting characters.  9/10
